1. Introduction
In the progress of innovation of Vietnamese education system, education at university and post-univeristy levels plays a very important role in the effective contribution of education for the process of building, protecting and developing the whole country. With a history of more than 21 years of development, from 1995 to the present, Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB) – Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNU) has made significant contributions to the education at university and post-university levels of Vietnam. The most obvious evidence is that HSB currently has an alumni network of more than 12.000 people from many organizations and enterprises, in which, there are many alumnus who had been or are currently holding important positions in state agencies and institutions as well as in the private enterprises, for examples: Mr. Dinh Tien Dung – Minister of Finance, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong – Chairman of Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Mr. Bui Ngoc Bao – Chairman of Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex), and many other eminent individuals…

Vietnam is strongly evolving in the process of international integration and education is a particularly important tool in this process, thus, the quality of education is currently one of the top concerns of Vietnam. With thoroughly awareness of its importance, along with the policy of Ministry of Education on the implementation of quality control of the universities, Leadership team of HSB – VNU has signed Decision No 130801-3/QD-TCCB on August 1st 2013 to rename the departments, faculties and centers of HSB, including renaming the quality assurance unit to HSB Center for Quality Assurance (HQA) in order to implement the objective of maintaining quality of education and scientific researches of HSB.

HSB is well-known as the first training institute in Vietnam to receive ISO certification for all of training and consultancy activities. Internationally and regionally, HSB became the first Vietnamese school of business to join Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools (AAPBS), an international organization with more than 100 training centers, in which about 11 business schools are holding top positions around Asia. Members of AAPBS cooperate in doing research, teaching and supporting Business Training Centers to enhance educational quality and standardization. During all these years of development, HSB and its educational partners were members of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) of the United States.

2. Roles and responsibilities
a) Roles:
HSB Center for Quality Assurance was established with the advisory role for Leadership team of HSB in formulation and operation of the quality assurance procedures of HSB in order to continuously improve and enhance the education’s quality of HSB.

b) Responsibilities:
– To be the leading unit in implementation of quality control procedures of education both in general and for training programs of HSB in accordance with the educational quality control standards of Ministry of Education, VNU, international and domestic quality control organizations.
– To chair the implementation of self-assessment procedures for general operating activities and for training programs of HSB; and to participate the quality control activities for education at university and post-university levels in accordance with the provisions of Ministry of Education, VNU and Institute for Education Quality Assurance (INFEQA) – VNU.
– To research and implement the domestic and international standards, models of quality assurance; support the Leadership team of HSB in issuing the regulations and guidelines of quality assurance and education quality control activities.
– To propose and implement the quality improvement plans after self-assessment on education quality control; to guide, supervise and inspect the implementation of the quality assurance measures at each unit, department and center of HSB.
– To participate in the technical training program for quality assessment, quality assurance, examination and education quality control organized by Institute for Education Quality Assurance (INFEQA) – VNU.
– To organize technical training programs of quality assurance activities for the lectures and staff members of HSB.
