SIGNING CEREMONY OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN
HANOI SCHOOL OF BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT (HSB) AND INDUSTRIAL BANK OF KOREA (IBK)
The signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Hanoi School of Business & Management (HSB) and Industrial Bank of Korean (IBK) was held on 19 June 2017 at HSB building, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On behalf of Hanoi School of Business and Management: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi – Dean of HSB; Dr. Pham Van Hong – Vice Dean of HSB; Dr Tran Huy Phuong – Head of Academic Affairs Department; Dr. Ngo Vi Dung – Head of Research & Cooperation Department; Master Hoang Hanh Nguyen – Head of Admission Office and all staffs of HSB attended the ceremony.
On behalf of Industrial Bank of Korean: Mr. Joo-Seong Jang – Senior Vice President; Ms. Eun-June Kim – General Manager of Human Resource Department; Ms. In-Kwan Cho – Deputy general Manager of Human Resource Department; Mr. Kwang-Jin Choi – General Manager of Hanoi Branch; Mr. Jeong-Yun Lee – General Manager of Ho Chi Minh Branch presented in the ceremony.
Beside, the signing ceremony also welcomed the presence of Vietnamese enterprises managers who are currently MBA learners of HSB and reporters from various press of Vietnam namely: Dantri, Nhan dan, Thanh Nien, Tien Phong, VOV, VTC…

Mr. Joo-Seong Jang – Senior Vice President of IBK expressed his sincere thanks to the warmly welcome of HSB. He also showed his willingness for more intensive multilateral cooperation between HSB and IBK not only in the field of training and research. The IBK leaders want to take advantage of two strong brands to build up the cooperation to the high level, matching the capacity of the two parties.

In response to the willingness of the IBK’s representative, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi – Dean of HSB was so proud that HSB was chosen by a very prominent bank of Korea to be their training partner and cooperate in developing the unit’s human resource for managerial level. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi also pressed that improving human resource capacity is one of the most important strategy for the sustainable development of an organization. HSB’s programs, especially HSB – MBA was designed to equip Vietnamese as well as foreign managers with practical knowledge and know-how. HSB hoped that, after graduation, IBK’s staffs will bring success not only for the organization but also for the development of two countries’ economies.
Signing the Memorandum of Understanding
The purpose of this Memorandum is to enhance cooperation between HSB and IBK and to promote recruiting and foster manpower on a non-exclusive basis. To implement this Memorandum, the two parties have defined the scope of the Memorandum including, but not limited to, the followings:
1. IBK endeavors to recruit new employees from HSB graduates and hire HSB students as interns at IBK, subject to IBK’s internal hiring regulations and procedures.
2. HSB gives IBK employees priorities to enter and study in the unique and reputable master programs and MBA courses that HSB has copyright and supports those IBK employees studying in such programs and courses.
3. In furtherance of mutual growth, the Parties intend to actively share and exchange the necessary information (to the extent permitted by law) through training programs, seminars, conferences and other events arranged or sponsored by either Party as necessary.
The signing ceremony was very successful. Both leaders agreed on the contents of the cooperation, appreciated and expressed their belief in the prospect of a fruitful cooperation. The signing ceremony has made an important milestone, opening a new chapter in the comprehensive and effective cooperation between Hanoi School of Business & Management and the Industrial Bank of Korean towards the goal of mutual development in a sustainable and successful way.
