The Master in Business Administration (MBA) has been successfully organized by Hanoi School of Business and Management (HSB) since 2002 with the cooperation of the University of Queensland Business School (14th worldwide, according to the Economist 2013 Ranking). Additionally, HSB – MBA was ranked 27th in the Far East in 2017 by Eduniversal.

4.Admission Process: Documents evaluation, essay writing, interview
- Step 1: Documents submission and revision
- HSB receives and verifies applications for admission according to the requirements of the training program and VNU’s regulations. Candidates who meet the requirements will be notified of the interview time.
- Step 2: Essay review, interview
- Essays: Candidate is requested to write a short essay in 30 minutes in order to gauge their writing skill in English.
- Application evaluation and interview: the Admission Council will evaluate the application, interview the candidate (in English). The interview has an objective of understanding the candidate’s motivation, learning purpose, related working experience, learning & research capacity and other program related content.
5.Admission criteria:
- Degree requirements: Candidates have graduated from university (or equivalent level or higher) in a relevant field, with a graduation grade of credit or higher, or have scientific publications (books, textbooks, articles published in specialized scientific journals or reports published in conference proceedings, specialized scientific seminars) related to the field of study and research. (Note: Diplomas issued by foreign educational institutions must undergo recognition procedures according to current regulations. - Candidates with a non related bachelor’s degree will need to take additional courses:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Finance – Banking – Insurance; Accounting – Auditing; Management – Administration; Management of Enterprise and Technology; Management and Security; Management of Human and Talents; Marketing and Communication are eligible to apply without having to take additional courses.
- Bachelor’s in Economics (Economics, Political Economy, Investment Economics, Development Economics, International Economics, Economic Statistics, Econometrics) have to complete an additional 3-course (11 credits – 16.5 ECTS)
- Bachelor’s in Political Education, Publishing Business, Sports Management and other majors in the following groups: Law; Mathematics; Statistics; Industrial Management; Construction Management; Agriculture; Forestry; Fisheries; Educational Science; Foreign Languages, Literature and Culture; Political Science; Sociology and Anthropology; Psychology; Area Studies; Journalism and Communication; Computers; Information Technology; Architectural and Construction Engineering Technology; Mechanical Engineering Technology; Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering Technology; Chemical, Materials, Metallurgy and Environmental Technology; Petroleum and Oil Exploitation Technology; Printing Engineering Technology; Food, Food and Beverage Processing; Production and Processing of Fibers, Fabrics, Shoes, Leather; Health Management; Tourism; Hotels, Restaurants; Family Economics; Transport Exploitation; Natural Resources and Environment Management have to complete an additional 7-course program (26 credits – 39 ECTS).
- Note: Foreigners with bachelor in Business, Finance – Banking – Insurance; Accounting – Auditing; Management – Administration; Management of Enterprise and Technology; Management and Security; Management of Human and Talents; Marketing and Communication are eligible to apply without having to take additional courses; who with the others have to complete an additional 7-course program (26 credits – 39 ECTS)
- Foreign Language: Candidates should have a level-4 English Certificate (according to the 6 level English Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam) or its equivalent (IELTS 5.5 for example) or an overseas undergraduate’s or postgraduate’s degree certificate where the language of instruction is English or a Bachelor’s Degree of Foreign Languages, majoring in English.
- Working experience: 1 – 2 years. The candidate could be considered for admission without experience depending on his/her academic performance and the major of the undergraduate education.
