4. Admission process:
- Step 1: Document submission and revision
- HSB receives and verifies applications for admission according to the requirements of the training program and VNU’s regulations. Candidates who meet the requirements will be notified of the interview time.
- Step 2: Interview
- Essays: Candidates are requested to write a short essay in 30 minutes in order to gauge their writing skill in English.
- Application evaluation and interview: the Admission Council will evaluate the application, interview the candidate (in Vietnamese). The interview has an objective of understanding the candidate’s motivation, learning purpose, related working experience, learning & research capacity and other program related content.
5. Admission criteria:
- Degree requirements: Candidates have graduated from university (or equivalent level or higher) in a relevant field, with a graduation grade of credit or higher, or have scientific publications (books, textbooks, articles published in specialized scientific journals or reports published in conference proceedings, specialized scientific seminars) related to the field of study and research. (Note: Diplomas issued by foreign educational institutions must undergo recognition procedures according to current regulations. Candidates with a non related bachelor’s degree will need to take additional courses:
- Bachelor’s in Management of Enterprise and Technology are eligible to apply without having to take additional courses.
- Bachelor’s in Management and Security; Management of Human and Talents; Marketing and Communication have to complete an additional 1-course program (3 credits – 4.5 ECTS)
- Bachelor’s in Business, Economics; Finance – Banking – Insurance; Accounting – Auditing; Management – Administration; Law; Languages – Foreign literature and cultures have to complete an additional 3-course program (11 credits – 16.5 ECTS).
- Bachelor’s in Life sciences; Mathematics and statistics; Computers and information technology; Engineering technology; Engineering; Natural sciences; Manufacturing and processing; Architecture and construction; Agriculture, forestry and fisheries; Veterinary medicine; Health; Tourism, hotels, sports and personal services; Transport services; Environment and environmental protection; Security, defense have to complete an additional 5 course program (19 credits – 28.5 ECTS).

- Foreign Language: Candidates should have a level 3 English Certificate (according to the 6 level English Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam) or its equivalent or an overseas undergraduate’s or postgraduate’s degree certificate where the language of instruction is English or a Bachelor’s Degree of Foreign Languages, majoring in English.
- Working Experience: Candidates should have at least 1 year of working experience in the area related to public administration, security, socio-economic, business, diplomacy, or non-traditional security activities.

7. Professional skills: MOTE graduate will possess the skills in the following area
- Business English Communication at level 4/6 according to the English Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam.
- Reasoning, thinking with a systematic approach, researching and solving problems arising in the field of business administration, technology management and business development.
- Design, plan, and organize the implementation of business strategies associated with technology strategy, investment, production and business plans using technology skills.
- Analyzing, evaluating, technology selection and technology development solution selection for developing the competitiveness of the company or its product or service.
- Basic skills in the administration of technology transfer contracts, economic contracts using intellectual property.
- Searching information and analyzing the business environment to discover new opportunities, new markets, new products, new services, new processes to form new businesses or restructure the current business.
