In early March 2026, Hanoi School of Business and Management – Vietnam National University welcomed Professor Zhan Jun from Shanghai Maritime University for a working visit and academic exchange.
Professor Zhan Jun is a scholar with significant contributions in the fields of Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Strategy, Service Innovation, Small Business Management, and Business Research Methods. He is also an expert in English-medium instruction (EMI) and has led a number of course development projects funded by China’s Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal Government. Throughout his academic career, Professor Zhan has published more than 80 research papers in national and international academic journals, many of which are indexed in SCI, SSCI, and CSSCI.
Professor Zhan Jun has formally established collaboration with HSB to contribute to teaching and academic research activities. During his time at the School, he engaged in academic discussions with faculty members through scholarly seminars and directly taught several courses for both undergraduate and graduate students. His participation contributes to strengthening international academic and research collaboration while expanding opportunities for academic exchange and learning for HSB faculty members and students.
For postgraduate programs, Professor Zhan also participated in teaching and academic exchanges with students in the Research Methodology course. He shared insights on research design, methodology, and the process of developing MBA theses in accordance with international academic standards. In addition, he held in-depth discussions with international students of the HSB–MBA program on developing theses aligned with international scientific publication. The sessions focused on identifying research questions, exploring research gaps, building theoretical frameworks, and ensuring academic standards in conducting and presenting research results, thereby helping students enhance their research and academic writing capabilities.

Professor Zhan Jun expressed his interest in sharing teaching experiences, exchanging research ideas, and strengthening academic connections, thereby contributing to enhanced educational cooperation among international institutions.
The visit further reaffirms HSB’s commitment to expanding global partnerships, improving educational quality, and providing students with greater international learning opportunities.
