TOP 10 HIGHLIGHTED EVENTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS OF HSB IN 2025

Established in 1995, as the first fully autonomous public school model in Vietnam, HSB was entrusted with comprehensive autonomy encompassing academic affairs, human resources, and financial management—an unprecedented approach within the public higher education system at that time. The School operates under an unique institutional model built upon four core pillars: public orientation, autonomy, non-profit commitment, and public–private partnership.
The Hanoi School of Business and Management has been honored with the Second-Class Labor Medal, in recognition of its outstanding contributions following three decades of continuous dedication to education and talent development.
In addition, the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals with exceptional and exemplary achievements in education and training, contributing to the development of human resources in service of national construction and defense. The honorees include:

These prestigious honors reaffirm the School’s significant role in advancing higher education, nurturing talent, and contributing to the sustainable development of the nation.
On 19th November, the Chair of the State Council for Professorship signed the decision recognizing candidates who met the national standards for the academic titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2025, among whom was Hoàng Đình Phi, Rector of the Hanoi School of Business and Management.
This achievement is a profound source of pride for HSB, serving as formal recognition of Professor Hoàng Đình Phi’s outstanding contributions to scientific research, academic innovation, university teaching, and visionary leadership. His efforts have played a pivotal role in advancing HSB’s reform journey and guiding the School toward internationally recognized standards.
The Ministry of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to outstanding collectives and individuals of the Hanoi School of Business and Management in recognition of their excellent achievements during the year. The commendations included two Certificates of Merit for collectives and five Certificates of Merit for individuals.
In addition, Vietnam National University, Hanoi conferred Certificates of Merit upon five individuals in acknowledgment of their outstanding contributions to the development and growth of the Hanoi School of Business and Management.
From 2025, the Hanoi School of Business and Management, Vietnam National University, Hanoi officially implements two new undergraduate programs: Bachelor in Management of Non-Traditional Security (BNS) and Bachelor in Management of Hospitality and Healthcare Services (HAS)
Grounded in an integrated approach combining interdisciplinary knowledge, technology, and human-centered values, HSB aims to cultivate a new generation of agile management professionals equipped to anticipate and lead global trends.
Establishment of the “Research and consulting group on non-traditional security strategy governance” (MNS Think Tank)
The Government of the Republic of Korea approved funding for the project titled “Supporting the Institute for Non-Traditional Security of Viet Nam in Enhancing Cybersecurity Training Capacity”.
The Institute for Non-Traditional Security (INS), under HSB, in collaboration with the
Vietnam Government Portal co-organized two policy dialogues:
“Ensuring Security and National Defense in Conjunction with Sustainable Development in the Strategic Orientation of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam”; and
“Non-Traditional Security in Hanoi’s Urban Governance: Current Situation, Challenges, and Sustainable Solutions.”
The academic programs of the Hanoi School of Business and Management have been fully accredited to European quality standards by ACQUIN, Germany. Delivered in English, these programs have successfully attracted a growing number of overseas students and learners.
In 2025, one Korean bachelor’s graduate and one Chinese master’s graduate completed their studies at the Hanoi School of Business and Management.
In the same year, HSB also welcomed a new Korean learner enrolled in the HSB–MBA program, further reflecting its expanding international profile.
At the undergraduate level, HSB provided credit-transfer training for 136 international students. HSB effectively implemented its cooperation agreements with Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University (2024–2027) in the design and delivery of credit-recognized modules at VNU–HSB. As part of this collaboration, HSB successfully organized two standard-compliant courses (3 credits each) for students from NTU and SMU, who undertook two consecutive weeks of intensive study at HSB.
In addition, HSB welcomed 26 PhD students from Chiang Mai Rajabhat University for academic exchange activities, further strengthening regional academic collaboration and mobility.
Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tràng, faculty member of the Faculty of Non-Traditional Security, recorded outstanding achievements in scientific research. He was granted eight patents by the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam under the Ministry of Science and Technology, and served as co-editor of three textbooks and reference books.
Dr. Hoàng Anh Tuấn initiated and successfully implemented the “Digital Transformation Project for the Automation of Governance, Training, and Executive Operations at HSB”, contributing significantly to institutional modernization and operational efficiency.
The number of scientific publications increased markedly compared with 2024, with Q1 and Q2 articles rising by 150% and Web of Science/Scopus-indexed publications increasing by approximately 67%. All high-ranking international publications were distinctive and pioneering, aligned with HSB’s two academic schools of thought—IMB and MNS—and effectively served education and training, policy advisory, and the transfer of new knowledge.
The Institute for Non-Traditional Security has successfully achieved excellence in academic innovation, training, and the transfer of knowledge derived from science and technology research projects in the fields of security governance and non-traditional security governance. In 2025, INS completed the acceptance and technology transfer of 4 science and technology research projects to localities nationwide, demonstrating its strong capacity to translate research outcomes into practical solutions that support governance, security management, and sustainable development at the local level.
In 2025, the Institute of Training and Management Consulting (ITM) has successfully delivered training programs to 3,637 mid-level and senior leaders and managers from major domestic and international corporations and enterprises, including Vietnam Electricity (EVN), Samsung, Agribank, and Viettel, among others.
HSB student teams proudly became the only team from Northern Viet Nam to advance to the Grand Final (Top 3) of the “New Generation Students” competition. The final results of the competition will be broadcast on VTV3 on 11 January 2026.
HSB student teams also earned the prestigious “Best Paper Award” at CIEMB 2025 and at the International Conference on the Digital Economy and Fintech Innovation (DeFi 2025) held in Danang, affirming their strong research capacity and academic excellence at international forums.
The FoodLink team—an application connecting suppliers and sponsors with consumers in the food sector—won First Prize at the “HSB Innovation Ignition”, showcasing HSB students’ entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking.
In addition, Hồ Ngọc Phương Linh, a student of class MAC3, majoring in Marketing and Communication at HSB, achieved Top 5 at Miss Vietnam 2024, the country’s most prestigious beauty pageant. She was also the only representative from Vietnam’s intellectual community to lead the parade at the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, marking a proud milestone for HSB students on both national and cultural stages.
