INVITATION TO JOIN A SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH GROUP

“Theoretical Foundations and Practical Implementation of Preventive and Responsive Measures to Unconventional Security Crises and Disasters in Ho Chi Minh City.”

Group Name:

Research Group for “Theoretical Foundations and Practical Implementation of Preventive and Responsive Measures to Unconventional Security Crises and Disasters in Ho Chi Minh City.”

Introduction:

Unconventional security is an essential component of national and global security. In the context of globalization and Vietnam’s increasing international integration efforts, various aspects of unconventional security frequently and strongly impact the security and safety of localities, nations, regions, and the world. The impacts and influences of unconventional security are closely related to the security and sustainable development of each country. Therefore, scientists, researchers, leaders of nations, international organizations, and local entities have shown interest in studying this field from various perspectives. However, these studies are often scattered and mainly address general issues, lacking specific research on particular regions or sectors. Particularly, research on threats, crises, and preventive and responsive measures to unconventional security issues is still limited.

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in studying unconventional security issues and their impacts on national security and sustainable development. However, this research is still limited in scope and not comprehensive. Specifically, there has been insufficient focus on the theoretical and practical aspects of preventive and responsive measures to unconventional security crises and disasters, especially in specific localities. Given the sensitive nature and importance of Ho Chi Minh City regarding unconventional security issues, as well as the need to prevent and respond to unconventional security threats, crises, and disasters in general, there is an urgent demand for research to enhance theoretical awareness and its practical application in this area. Some specific topics of interest include: (i) Social conflicts and emergencies; (ii) Cybersecurity and combating high-tech crimes in the context of building “e-government,” “smart city,” and “digital economy”; (iii) Environmental security and food safety; (iv) Health security and epidemic prevention…

Therefore, the Non-Traditional Security Management and Studies Center (NSMS), School of Business and Management, National University of Hanoi, proposes the scientific and technological task of “Theoretical Foundations and Practical Implementation of Preventive and Responsive Measures to Unconventional Security Crises and Disasters in Ho Chi Minh City,” with a focus on the four main topics mentioned above, meeting the urgent needs in terms of theory and practice.
