Visa & Insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Entry visa procedures<\/strong><\/p>\n

For international students who are currently in their home country, and have been enrolled at an educational institution in Vietnam to study, you should contact the International Office at your school to request a copy of the approval correspondence from the Vietnamese Immigration Department. You will submit it together with your visa application form, original passport, visa payment, and other supporting documents. You will then be required to collect your visa at the Vietnamese Embassy or Vietnam Consulate General in your home country.
\nIn case there is no Vietnamese government office in your country, it\u2019s important to inform your institution as soon as possible so they can organize your pre-visa approval letter to indicate the location on arrival in Vietnam where you can collect and pay for your student visa. Generally, you can have the visa stamp placed in your passport at international airports in Vietnam like Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi or Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.
\nAs of June 1, 2016, the fees you can expect to pay are below:
\n– 35 USD for 3-month single entry visa
\n– 60 USD for 3-month multiple entry
\n– 105 USD from 3-6 month multiple entry
\n– 145 USD from 6-month to one-year multiple entry<\/p>\n

Documents you will need to apply for a Vietnamese student visa<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Visa application form with your photograph (downloadable from the website of Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
\n– Original passport with at least 6-month validity and 01 blank page for visa stamp
\n– Visa application fees (submit at Vietnam Embassy\/ Vietnam Consulate General)
\nHSB would support the students to get these documents scanned to student before getting the visa:
\n– Letter of Acceptance from your educational institution in Vietnam (the Vietnam National University)
\n– Pre-approval confirmation from the Vietnam Immigration Department<\/p>\n

Visa renewal\/extension<\/strong>
\nFor international students who are currently living in Vietnam, and are undertaking\/will undertake study at an educational institution in Vietnam and would like their school to be their visa sponsor.<\/p>\n

What to submit?
\n– Application form N5(file attached) for issuance, replacement, modification or stay extension to be completed by temporary resident foreigner in Vietnam
\n– Original passport with the validity above 6 months
\n– Original residence record
\n– 1 Photo 4 x 6 cm with white background, no glasses, business attire
\n– Original student ID card
\n– Proof of tuition fee payment for the forthcoming semester
\n– Application fee<\/p>\n

Health insurance<\/strong><\/p>\n

Private health insurance: International students can also purchase private health insurance from various insurance companies in Vietnam. These policies may offer more coverage than school-provided insurance, but they are typically more expensive.
\nGovernment health insurance: Vietnam has a government-run health insurance program called the Vietnam Social Security Program. International students may be eligible to enroll in this program, but it is recommended to check with the school or the insurance provider for more information.
\nBasic coverage (covers accidents and emergencies): around $100 – $200 per year
\nComprehensive coverage (covers accidents, emergencies, and illnesses): around $300 – $500 per year<\/p>\n
