Although the initial proposal will often need to be adjusted, it is essential for students to actively manage their own study program. The goal is to have a list of learning activities\/subjects at HSB that align with the student\u2019s program at their home university.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>ECTS Credits<\/strong><br \/>\nECTS credits are units of work for building your study program. They reflect the amount of work required to complete a specific learning activity (e.g., a course or seminar) and are calculated based on the total time needed to achieve the desired learning outcomes, including personal study time. As a standard European unit, ECTS credits make it easier for your studies to be recognized by your home university.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Training Organization<\/strong><br \/>\nEach academic year consists of two main semesters and one supplementary semester. Each main semester lasts for 15\u201320 weeks of study and exams. The supplementary semester lasts at least 6 weeks and takes place between the two main semesters.
